RULES (ILLUSTRATED)

• Your illustration must be (at the least) a halfbody with a semi-scenic background! (We should be able to tell there's depth to the piece!)
• Your illustration must be, at the minimum, cleanly lined and colored!
• Your illustration MUST be submitted to the monthly prompt gallery! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)

• Your written piece must be at the least 600 words long!
• Use paragraph breaks, it makes it much easier for our mods to read over!
• Your written piece MUST be submitted to the monthly prompt gallery!

A STRANGE ENCOUNTER

After a little trip out, just for fun, and to exercise... sort of... you come across an ugly little hole in the ground, decorated with a multitude of strange things. Poorly drawn pictures, glass bottles, stickers, confetti, randomly strewn about candy, broken glitterbombs...

Intrigued in a weird, uncomfortable sort of way, you peer into the hole, greeted by none other than Madcap! The weirdo you heard about from the locals. You frown. Staring at you from below, Madcap jankily crawls up the side of the hole, eventually standing on his tail, peering at you from above. You feel terrified, and you're not exactly sure why.

"Hiiii there. I'm Madcap. You know, I can tell. How are you today? I'm great. But you knew that already. Say, what're you doing here?! Haven't seen anyone in... a few hours? Days, maybe, even? Anyway, wanna win a prize?" Madcap says so quickly, you can't even fully register what he said. "If you're able to get a few of these shiny things somehow, I'll give you something reeeeaaaaal neat in return. Maybe more, eventually. We'll see. Wait, you want to know HOW to get them..? Uuuuuummm.. figure it out. Look around!  Maybe I'll give you some in return for something. Or maybe just look around? Maybe you'll have some luck finding some elsewhere! Anyways, get on going! I'm exciiiiiiited."

Not even giving you a chance to respond, Madcap quickly shows you a few of those... weird coins of his, layed out in its palm, pointing to them. Having nothing better to do, you willingly oblige. This'll be... fun? Maybe?

PROMPT INFO

STATUS: OPEN

For this prompt, you can obtain Madcap's special currency (that in return can be used to buy some unique items in his shop) by drawing things for him to hang on the 'walls' of his bunker! Whether it be a quick doodle, messy sketch, something regular, or something really delightfully polished, all will yield you a random amount of Madcoins! You can do this prompt twice per day!

REQUIREMENTS

All art MUST contain Madcap (click for ref) to some degree (he must be somewhat visible in your drawing!), otherwise, creativity and experimentation is very heavily encouraged! It could be a scene, you could throw in anything you'd think he'd like, add your own Gachagons/Bitlings/Scribblies, etc.! (Reminder, though, this prompt MUST be submitted to its respective gallery first! If you give us an outside link, we will reject the submission and you will have to resend it. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece!) This prompt is meant to be fun, so go nuts! Keep in mind, though, Madcap is a SCRIBBLIE, so he must be drawn messy/unpolished! Have fun! 

A ROUGH DAY

After a rough, irritating morning encountering a weird, smelly freak in a hole outside, then going home and finding out your bank account got hacked ontop of that, you angerly gather your things, stomping to the bank, mad that you have to deal with ANY of this today. Or any of this in general.

Trying to find someone to help you, knowing full well you're.. far from presentable, covered in glitter and muck, you wander into the office Circumspect, Madcap's twin brother, just happens to be working at. Looking deeply focused by.. whatever he's doing, he doesn't notice you. Annoyed, you tap furiously on his desk with your finger. Startled, he looks up at you, slightly dazed and a tad bit confused.

"Uhm.. hello. There. Sorry, you.. startled me. Can I.. no, that comes off.. bad..", he starts, his brain visibly loading. "How can I be of assistance to you today? Do you need a run-down on how things work, are you looking to open an account, or perhaps.. deposit.. your funds?", be begins again, eyes slowly drifting downwards, scouring your form. Noticing the glitter and confetti stuck to you, he grimaces, slowly letting out a sigh. Looking up at you, he begins to speak. "Listen. If this is some sort of prank, or some sort of.. joke, or if HE  sent you, I don't want any part of it. You guys aren't funny, you know. He's sent people to bother me so many damn times." Slamming his laptop's closed with both hands, he glares at you. You try to speak, to explain your case, but he doesn't even give you a chance to breathe. Shakily reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a few spare crayons. Still glaring at you, he starts to speak in possibly one of the most strained tones you've ever heard. "Look. I've had a lot of things happen today. I'm really tired, and I just want to get back to my work. I'll pay you if you please just leave me alone. Okay? Okay."

Not even bothering to try reasoning with him (as you know it won't get you far), you gradually take his offer, turn around, and leave, looking for someone else to ask about your breached account. But you'll be back to pester him again. What a jerk.

Using this prompt, you can redeem your personal milestones for rewards!

RULES

• These milestones can be attained ONCE each.

Now that Grandpon has come back to the Keep, it is time to get the records back in order and all caught up!

Long ago, every time that a new Gachagon would hatch, a special certificate would be filled out detailing who they were and what day they hatched! This Hatching Day Certificate would continue to be filled out as they grew up and learned more about their magic!

A short how-to guide on how the certificate is properly filled out! A completed and official example of the certificate can also be seen here: Grandpon's Hatching Day Certificate

Each certificate must contain the following information:

• A drawing of the Gachagon (A fully colored half-body or more)
• Their Hatching-Day (according to the newly revived Gachagon calendar, which you can find here for more information/to get the name of the specific month/what day it correlates to!)
• Any other pertanent information

The free space in the bottom right corner can contain any other information about your Gachagon you would like to have associated with them! Some ideas might include: their prize and currency, their gacha balls, favorite items or accessories, etc.!

You are not required to use the official templates if creating one, however, any made individually by you MUST have a similar format and include the same information as the templates/as listed above!

This prompt can be filled out once per Gachagon you own. You can update it any time, but you will only recieve the prize once! This prompt is permanent and will always remain open.

The month of Reflection (August 1st to September 20th) is a transitional month in the Keep - it is the end of summer season and the start of the colder, quieter fall. Many end their vacations and return home around this time in order to get back into the swing of things and prepare for the upcoming colder weather. 🍂

FOR THIS PROMPT, Draw or write about your Gachagon either:

• Learning something new from Grandpon about themselves or any of the Keep species as a whole
• Experiencing the Month of Reflection by remembering their trip (if they had taken one) fondly, settling back in at home, preparing for the colder weather, enjoying the changing leaves outside, etc.
