The Gachagon realm once had a calendar system, now long forgotten — though recently, due to Grandpon’s help, knowledge of the calendar has returned to the Keep to continue to be used by many generations to come!

Each year of the Gachagon realm is ten months long, with each month equating to about 2 months of the standard Earth calendar. The seasons change and overlap during the months. Every two months or so, there is a large event, with smaller events scattered in-between. 

Each individual month is ruled over by a unique set of suns and moons, with the Gachagon Realm having two suns and three moons that play a special role in letting the Gachagon citizens know what month it currently is. It's said that long ago a passage was written detailing certain information being tied to specific times of the year, working in a way similar to a fortune teller with it seemingly being able to predict the kind of Gachagon one will become on their hatching day! (Much like the human Zodiac) Though not full-proof as a Gachagon can be anything or whoever they wish to be, it was a piece of Gachagon history once thought lost, much like the calendar system! It tends to appeal to Gachagons more inclined or interested in things like fortune telling, predictions or spirituality.

According to Grandpon, many centuries ago, Gachagons would play around with ideas of what a new hatchling would grow up to be like based on the month they were hatched in. It was hardly ever accurate, rather, it was a fun community activity to generate happiness and excitement regarding the newborn Gachagon!

The main months of the Calendar are Growth, Jubilation, Change, and Celebration!

🌱 The month of Growth is characterized by the start of Spring in the realm. The temperature is warms up and plants begin to grow, and the realm begins to teem with life! It is a wonderful and much loved time of the year by all species, and they come together during this time to celebrate the beginning of new life!

🎉 The month of Jubilation is arguably the most important month to the realm, as it is the month of the largest celebrations! The Gachagon Jubilation Festival is a month-long celebration of Gachagon kind that has gone by the wayside in recent times, but is being revived in thanks to Grandpon and Creamsicle!

❄️ The month of Change is a weird one, but still well loved by many. The seasons are changing once again and colder weather is on the horizon for the realm. Things begin to slow down throughout the realm and the Keep in order to welcome the times of resting and comfort.

🌠 The month of Celebration is the finale to the year! It is the month that celebrates a time of giving to one another, and to thank the year for all the wonderful things it has given!
