Hi everyone! Monthly news for you all. This month is pretty busy, we hope you enjoy what we have in store for you!

halloween Event:

Later on this month we’ll be hosting a Halloween event!

Participating in this event will allow you to earn special currency that you’ll be able to use to purchase items from the event shop that’ll open on November 1st!

The event will start on October 23rd and will last until the 31st! More details will be available at the start of the event.

Guest Artist Opportunities:

We’ll be taking 2-3 guest artists to help out with making designs for the event above!

You‘ll be able to make one design with unlimited common-rare traits + one sacred or adopt trait!

The due date for these designs will be October 22nd, and guest artists will be picked on October 5th! Please make sure you can meet the deadline before applying. To apply, fill out this form.

october PROMPT:

This month’s theme is TRICK OR TREATING! Draw and/or write about your Gachagon (and/or other keep species) enjoying trick or treating! This could be handing out candy or receiving candy! Up to you! :-)
The October prompt will last till October 31st!

RULES (ILLUSTRATED)

• Your illustration must be (at the least) a halfbody with a semi-scenic background! (We should be able to tell there's depth to the piece!)
• Your illustration must be, at the minimum, cleanly lined and colored!
• Your illustration MUST be submitted to the monthly prompt gallery! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.) 

RULES: (WRITTEN)

• Your written piece must be at the least 600 words long!
• Use paragraph breaks, it makes it much easier for our mods to read over!
• Your written piece MUST be submitted to the monthly prompt gallery!

MISCELLANY

• All items have been restocked for the month! Next item/MYO restock will be November 1st, so make sure to grab any limited items you may need while you can.
• Common myos have been removed from the daily loot, we’ve noticed an overabundance of them lately so we’ve decided to remove them for now! They may return in the future.
• New daily rewards calander has been created! You can acess it via the quick links section on the navbar or this link!

Fall Equinox Event:

To celebrate the start of fall we’ll be hosting an event this month! There will be 4 weeks of prompts/scavenger hunts for everyone to participate in!

Participating in this event will allow you to earn special currency that you’ll be able to use to purchase items from the event shop that’ll open at the end of the month!

The first week starts today [9/01/2022] and will end on the 3rd! Since this week is short there's no art prompt however we do a small scavenger hunt! There's one item and one gachapanion to find this week, it’ll be hidden somewhere in item descriptions, on staff members characters, staff profiles, or in prompt descriptions! Do not share the location of the item with anyone, if we find you breaking this rule we'll ban you from the rest of the event! We’ll be pinging the minor announcement role at the start of each week to notify everyone that the next set of items have been released! Please make sure to pick up that role in the discord server if you'd like a notification.

SEPTEMBER PROMPT:

This month’s theme is FAMILY! Draw and/or write about your Gachagon (and/or other keep species) enjoying time with their family! This does include found family, have fun!

The September prompt will last till September 30th!

CBC RULE UPDATE:

This is just to clarify the CBC rules since we've seen some confusion about them!

1. Characters cannot be a direct copy of their source material,  this isnt usually an issue when it comes to human -> gachagon designs but when it comes to characters that were already animals you will need to make sure they have distinct traits/markings. 
2. On the same topic as above that goes for gachapanions as well
3. You MUST tell us who the cbc is based off somewhere in your approval message, character name and series. if this is repeatedly ignored and we find out you will get a strike and potentially a ban from the species

ART FIGHT EVENT

From now until the end of ArtFight (Aug. 1) crayons will be doubled for any Gachagon related attack you do! (Includes Bitlings, Scribblies and Gachapanions) Make sure to link your AF attack under misc.! (These still need to be uploaded to the on-site gallery as well!)

SUMMER GACHAGON GACHA + GUEST ARTIST APPLICATIONS

Our summer Gachagon gacha is coming up next month! To prepare for it, we're taking a handful of guest artists! The gacha will be hosted on June 20th, 2022!

GUEST ARTIST APPLICATION RULES

• You must be 16 or older to apply.
• You are limited to 4 designs or less! Two designs will go for USD (or other if you don't take USD), and two for crayons! All 4 cannot be for USD/etc. You are also allowed to make 1-2 Gachapanions.
• Upon being chosen, you will be DM'D via Discord and further instruction will be provided.
  • Please note before applying that there is a time limit to create said designs. If you aren't up to this/are not good with doing things within a certain time, please do not apply.

GENERAL SITE UPDATES

A lot of important things this month regarding the site and traits, we hope you enjoy!

• After a bit of discussing with staff, we have decided to make 'No Light' an adopt-only trait, as it is a fundamental and important part of Gachagon anatomy. Any Gachagon with said trait before this newsletter will be allowed to keep it  without change (although it will be labelled as 'ADOPT'), but going forward, we are not allowing it on MYOs/selfbreeds (unless both parents had it— this will be expanded upon in the rewritten selfbreed rules.)
• The selfbreed rules have been rewritten! To see, look under the 'Self Breeding Capsule' item description! 
• Art redemption has been slightly edited to change the staff bonus; this is now only for staff Gachagons/NPCs, characters owned by staff will no longer count towards that bonus.
• Most items/capsules now have descriptions added to them!
• Character titles have been added so NPCs and staff Gachgons can be more easily recognized.
• A Madcap theme has been added to the site to match the new event. (It is the default theme this month. You can change your theme via your account settings!)
• Two new traits/items have been added! An item to change your Gachagon to be half Scribblie, and hand limbs!
  • Dubious Eraser: This item will allow your Gachagon to become half Scribblie! This item will only be available in April once a year, so if you want one, make sure to grab it from the event shop while supplies last!
  • Dubious Hand Gummy: This item allows your keep species to have functional hand parts! After discussing with the staff team, we've decided to make these an acessible trait rather then locking it behind an 'adopt-only' barrier! You can use this item on your keep species ears, tail, or tongue! This can also give your Gachagon more hand-shaped limbs if combined with the extra limbs trait! 
• A new trait rartity has been added, named 'Mutations'! (Crossbreeds, half scribblies, and hand limbs fall under this.)
• For this month, Madcap's prompt will give you two Madcoin boxes instead of one! 
• Scribblie MYOs are unlimited this month, however they're limited to two per person! Along with this, Scribblie MYOs have been discounted from 35 Madcoins to 30!
• Starting this month, item restocks should happen automatically at 00:00:00 site time on the first of every month!
• The event shop is open for the month!

MILESTONE REWARDS PROMPT

As of today, you can now claim milestone rewards! Each individual milestone comes with both an award and crayons! Awards are as follows:

Gallery Submission Milestones

• 1 submission - 100 crayons
• 5 submissions - 300 crayons
• 15 submissions - 600 crayons
• 30 submissions - 900 crayons
• 50 submissions - 1500 crayons
• 100 submissions - 2500 crayons

Character Milestones

• 1 keep species - 200 crayons
• 3 keep species - 600 crayons
• 5 keep species - 800 crayons
• 10 keep species- 1000 crayons

Prompt Milestones (excluding dailies)

• 1 completed prompt - 500 crayons
• 3 completed prompts - 700 crayons
• 10 completed prompts - 1200 crayons

You are free to submit the ones you qualify for to the milestone rewards prompt!

GACHAPANION BONDING

Introducing a new, permanent prompt for you all to do: Gachapanion bonding! Doing this prompt will allow you to claim an extra daily for up to 5 bonded Gachapanions! This prompt is centered around your Gachagon/Scribblie/Bitling bonding with their Gachapanion! We also have plans in the near future regarding additional things to do with your Gachapanions.

Minimum requirements for this prompt are:

• 3+ panel comic featuring your Gachagon/Scribblie/Bitling and Gachapanion.
• Must be cleanly lined and colored.
• At least a pattern background.
• MUST be submitted to the prompt gallery and linked to when submitting to the prompt.

GACHAPANION DAILY

As previously stated above, you will now be able to claim up to 5 extra dailies per bonded Gachagon (+ misc species)/Gachapanion pair! 

MARCH PROMPT

This months theme is LUCK! Draw and/or write about your Gachagon/Scribblie/Bitling interacting with symbols of luck; this could be picking a four leafed clover, or playing horseshoes! This prompt is a bit more vague than previous ones, so please feel free to get creative!  

The March prompt will last till March 31st!

• Your illustration must be, at the minimum, cleanly lined and colored!

Hi all! Apologies on the lateness of this!

February 13th marks the official publicization/creation of the species, so to celebrate this important anniversary, we have a few exciting things for you all! ^^ Thank you all for sticking with us and enjoying the species, it means a lot to us!

anniversary adopts

Our staff team has made a special batch of adopts for the 1 year anniversary! They'll be posted in the adopt channel in our Discord server momentarily after this newsletter officially goes up!

Species change potions

The title itself is self explanatory! We now have limited items that allow you to change a Gachagon into a Scribblie, and a Scribblie into a Gachagon! Bitling versions of these items will be available at a later date. Please read the descriptions/rules of these items before purchasing. 

They will be available in Madcap's Bunker, and will be restocked monthly. Potions currently available are:

• Gachagon to Scribblie potion (monthly stock will be 2)
• Scribblie to Gachagon potion (monthly stock will be 2)

Rules for these will be in the items description! Please read them before purchasing.

raffles and random item boxes

As an anniversary celebration, in our Discord server we'll be raffling away two Sacred Gachagon MYOs! The event shop also has a free random item box you can claim ONCE, and it will be open for the next 24 hours! (It will close later in the evening tomorrow, as this is a late announcement.)

Hello, everyone! This won't be a huge update, but we do have some cool stuff in store this month!

HEARTS AND DRAGON PARTS

This is a special February-specific event, taking the place of Valentine's day! It will be open for the entirety of February, and will offer a few rewards: a self breeding slot (we will go into more depth on this later), crayons, and a holo sticker! You can do this prompt up to 3 times!

Breeding batches

On the 14th, we'll be raffling off one special breeding slot! The artists for this particular round will be a collab batch between seppy and Digimon! The winner of the raffle will send either seppy or Digimon two of their (or someone elses, with permission) Gachagons to breed together, and they will make a batch of 4-6 babies from the breeding for you to pick from! The winner will get one for free, and then the rest will be sold.

This is a trial run, so breeding batches may or may not be returning based on public reception!

February Prompt:

This months theme is SWEETS! Draw and/or write about your Gachagon/Scribblie/Bitling baking (or eating) any sort of sweet treat! It can be Valentines themed or not, it is up to you!

 The February prompt will last till February 28th! Due to this month being shorter (with the addition of another prompt on top) we will be lessening the requirements of this prompt! Read below for the rules.
