Hi everyone! Monthly news for you all.

GENERAL SITE UPDATES

A lot of important things this month regarding the site and traits, we hope you enjoy!

After a bit of discussing with staff, we have decided to make 'No Light' an adopt-only trait, as it is a fundamental and important part of Gachagon anatomy. Any Gachagon with said trait before this newsletter will be allowed to keep it without change (although it will be labelled as 'ADOPT'), but going forward, we are not allowing it on MYOs/selfbreeds (unless both parents had it— this will be expanded upon in the rewritten selfbreed rules.)
The selfbreed rules have been rewritten! To see, look under the 'Self Breeding Capsule' item description!
Art redemption has been slightly edited to change the staff bonus; this is now only for staff Gachagons/NPCs, characters owned by staff will no longer count towards that bonus.
Most items/capsules now have descriptions added to them!
Character titles have been added so NPCs and staff Gachgons can be more easily recognized.
A Madcap theme has been added to the site to match the new event. (It is the default theme this month. You can change your theme via your account settings!)
Two new traits/items have been added! An item to change your Gachagon to be half Scribblie, and hand limbs!
- Dubious Eraser: This item will allow your Gachagon to become half Scribblie! This item will only be available in April once a year, so if you want one, make sure to grab it from the event shop while supplies last!
- Dubious Hand Gummy: This item allows your keep species to have functional hand parts! After discussing with the staff team, we've decided to make these an acessible trait rather then locking it behind an 'adopt-only' barrier! You can use this item on your keep species ears, tail, or tongue! This can also give your Gachagon more hand-shaped limbs if combined with the extra limbs trait!
A new trait rartity has been added, named 'Mutations'! (Crossbreeds, half scribblies, and hand limbs fall under this.)
For this month, Madcap's prompt will give you two Madcoin boxes instead of one!
Scribblie MYOs are unlimited this month, however they're limited to two per person! Along with this, Scribblie MYOs have been discounted from 35 Madcoins to 30!
Starting this month, item restocks should happen automatically at 00:00:00 site time on the first of every month!
The event shop is open for the month!

MADCAP'S PERSONAL HELL ON EARTH EVENT

Feeling a little bit evil and quirked up, Madcap has decided to make April (his favorite month) hell for everyone in the Keep, just for the fun of it. Awful things are going on, everythings getting blown up, and Madcap is causing problems and issues for everyone and causing immense property and land damage! How fun. He encourages anyone who wants to to join in!

For this prompt, draw your Gachagon (or other keep species) either getting pranked by Madcap, or another keep species character who wants to join in on the madness! Feel free to get creative, it's supposed to be a bit crazy.

MINIMUM PROMPT REQUIREMENTS

Your piece must be at least a halfbody.
Your piece must show your keep species character and Madcap (and/or another keep species character) clearly interacting.
Your piece must be cleanly lined and colored.
Your piece must at least have a pattern background.
Your piece MUST be submitted to the event gallery and linked to when submitting to the prompt, or it will be rejected.

Scribblie Rule Updates

As we've been having some issues and misunderstandings with Scribblies as of late, to help out and make things a bit clearer, we are planning to make a visual guide for Scribblies later this month! It will be announced later on.

You can also view it on the MYO Guide when finished, and in the pins of the design-checks channel in-server!

MYO SALE CHANGES

We've decided to phase out the Google form for purchasing MYO slots with USD, as we've realized it isn't the most efficient way to do things. From now on, if interested in purchasing a slot for USD, please contact Arata#5234 on Discord to purchase a lot! As a reminder, the prices are as follows:

Common: $10
Uncommon: $15
Rare: $25
Sacred: $35

Scribblie MYOs are $15 and are unlimited this month!

April BREEDINGS

Due to the success of our last breeding batch, we've decided to do another final test run of breeding batches this month! This time there will be 3 batches, and the artists will be Digimon, seppy, and tachyon! Later today we'll make a sales post on site (It will be announced via an @ everyone ping the Discord server) where you can comment and claim a slot for yourself if you are interested! (As a small reminder, parents do not have to be 'canon' and you are free to do what you wish, and you are allowed to use other's Gachagons with permission from the owner, or if their Gachagons are marked 'open for breeding' on their profiles! However, please tell the owner of said Gachagon before doing so!)

It is $25 per inital baby claimed (You can claim up to 2, to make it fair!), and once you're shown your batch results, you can choose to pre-autobuy any other babies you'd like to claim as well!

April PROMPT

This months theme is APRIL SHOWERS! (April showers bring May flowers, meaning the start of Spring.) Draw and/or write about your Gachagon (and/or other keep species) enjoying the birth of life that comes with the start of Spring! Feel free to get creative.

The April prompt will last till April 30th!

RULES (ILLUSTRATED)

Your illustration must be (at the least) a halfbody with a semi-scenic background! (We should be able to tell there's depth to the piece!)
Your illustration must be, at the minimum, cleanly lined and colored!
Your illustration MUST be submitted to the monthly prompt gallery! (As well as when submitting the prompt, you'll need to link to the gallery submission. Gallery submissions can still be linked to before official approval/while pending, so there should be no reason you can't link it when submitting your piece! Prompt submissions with outside links like Discord, sta.sh, etc. will be rejected.)

RULES: (WRITTEN)

Your written piece must be at the least 600 words long!
Use paragraph breaks, it makes it much easier for our mods to read over!
Your written piece MUST be submitted to the monthly prompt gallery!

MISCELLANY

All items have been restocked for the month! Next item/MYO restock will be May 1st, so make sure to grab any limited items you may need while you can.
More item icons have been completed!
We're working on anatomy guides for both Bitlings and Gachagons! We hope to have both out as soon as possible.
We're also working on adding more specification to traits on what is/isn't allowed! We, again, hope to have this done by the 1st of May!
Merged 'flaming' and 'smoke emissions' with abnormal body!
Added a cell-shaded tier to art redemption, and a bonus for drawing the weeks featured character!
