It was nearing the end of summer. The leaves hadn't quite begun turning yet, but the evenings had begun to cool down. The Treehouse Gang (as Soup had affectionately named them), had a group vote, and decided this would be the perfect time for a camping trip. They each packed a bag, decided on snacks (which Nova would be bringing later), and set off on a hike to find their camping spot.
They travelled a good ways into the woods, Skringle occassionaly moaning about the dirt in his paws, and Crimbus was hopping on top of every rock bell saw. Ganys and Soup chatted amongst themselves, while Nova kept track of Rhubarb in the back of the formation. It was a beautiful day out, which saved them from any possible suffering when it came to temperature or weather; a few of them picked some wildflowers to make some little crowns with later.
Eventually they settled in a clearing large enough for them all to set up camp and still have room for Skringle and Rhubarb to run around. They didn't have tents, just blankets theycould roll out and set up however they wanted, wether that be in a nestlike shape or individual mats. After that, Soup gave Nova the snack list, which the larger gacha took in her second set of arms before levitating up and into the air, eventually disappearing from view.
Ganys came up next to Soup, gently pressing against their side and giving a small nuzzle into their neck, almost like a cat.
"'Barb'n Skringle got eachother occupied, Crim' said she's got firewood covered."

Soup glanced at their partner, who's scales were already beginning to turn pink, and smiled. "Just us for a few minutes?", he was met with a hum of agreement from Ganys. They ended up using this opportunity to roll out their blankets next to eachother and cuddle, just until Crimbus got back with the firewood.

When Crimbus did return, everyone helped set up the fire pit (with some complaints about splinters from Skringle, of course). It was just a decent sized hole with stones lining the outside, and wood piled inside. Large enough to light up the area and keep warm, but not so big as to be a huge fire risk.
The little group explored the woods near their campsite for a while, returning to their bags and the fire once it began to get dark out. Soon enough, a while after the stars began to shine and the sky had darkened, Nova returned, snacks in tow.

"Sorry- seems like everyone's camping, could hardly find what we decided on-" she began to ramble, unloading various marshmallows, grahm crackers, chocolate bars, boxed candies- the whole nine yards.
Soup let her go on a bit before interrupting, she knew Nova only rambled to keep from stressing too much.

"Stardrop, its alright, at least you managed to find it, yeah?"

"Yeah! I even found some of that sour stuff Skringle likes so much!" the starry gacha placed a bag of candies on the grass below them, nudging it towards where the little pink 'gon had left their bag.

Later on into the night, Ganys, Soup, Crimbus, and Nova were all sitting by the fire, just having a bit of small talk and waiting for Rhubarb and Skringle to settle.
Ganys kept glancing off to the edge of the woods though, scales staying green, so there must not have been a threat.

"Whats got you so interested over there?" Crimbus chimed at one point, drawing Ganys' attention back to the conversation at hand.

"What-? Oh- yeah, don't look too hard, but there's somebody watching us. Been there for a while actually."

Soup's ears took a sort of defensive position and they shifted their paws. "You're just saying something now?"

"I've been keeping an eye on em', dont worry. I would've told you if they seemed dangerous."

Nova thought for a moment while Soup bickered (out of concern, nothing more) with Ganys. "Why dont we just invite them over?" she tilted her head.

Soup paused to let Ganys give a reply, Crimbus already becoming unconcerned, and going over to see what Rhubard and Skringle were getting up to.

"...see- I thought about that, but i'd rather not scare em' off. I'll give it a little longer and then we'll see. How's that sound?" it looked to Soup, who nodded.

Minus the small scare from a random stranger, the trip ended up being a success! There was fishing, and flower picking, and lots of hiking- they almost didn't want to leave. But, sadly, its called "camping" and not "moving".
