April Showers
The little Gacha couldn’t help but sigh as he looked out the window. The rain was coming down even harder now, the water drops beating against the glass. He places his hand on his small paw, expression forming into a small pout. Not even the smell of freshly cooked potato soup was enough to pull him away.
“Gizmo honey, I know you’re sad that you can’t go outside today but there’s no reason to mope.” The sound of his dad’s voice chimes in. The older Gacha walks over and places a steaming bow of soup next to the boy. “There’s always tomorrow.” “I guess…but it’ll be all soggy and gross.” Gizmo sticks his tongue out at the thought of stepping in mud.
Wibbles can’t help but laugh at that. “Not necessarily, you never know~ April showers bring May flowers after all~” He nudges the boy playfully. “Come on, let's at least go play a game or something to pass the time? The rain isn’t all bad because now we get to spend some time together!” With that, the little Gacha turns towards Wibbles with a slight smile. “Alright…can we play hide and seek? I swear I found the perfect hiding spot the other day, you’ll never find me~” He gets a mischievous grin and wags his tail. Wibbles picks up his son, causing the little one to squeal happily. “Of course! But it better be good or I’m gonna getcha~” He teases, placing him down on the couch. “Though eat your soup first before it gets cold!” Gizmo groans and rolls his eyes, “Okay dad~”
After eating and putting up some dishes, the two play games all day long not even acknowledging the rain and thunder outside. One final game of hide and seek later and Gizmo is tuckered out. He leans against his dad with heavy eyelids. Smiling softly, Wibbles picks the boy up into his arms and carries him to his room. The Gacha places his son into bed and makes sure he’s extra comfy, giving him his favorite plushie to cuddle. “I promise it will be beautiful tomorrow and you can run around and have fun~ Goodnight~” With a kiss on the forehead, Wibbles leaves his son to sleep soundly.
Gizmo awakes to the sound of birds chirping and the soft light of the sun shining through his bedroom window. He sits up and stretches, letting out a long yawn. He instantly wakes up at seeing the sunshine, shooting out of bed. Wibbles gets a bit startled at seeing the small Gacha run into the living room. “Well good morning.” He chuckles softly. “Morning!” He calls out. “It’s nice outside, the grass is so green. I told you that it was going to be nice, why don’t we go outside and look together?” Gizmo nods excitedly, his tail wagging.
The pair head out onto the porch, Gizmo letting out a tiny gasp at their surroundings. The world was lush and green, colorful flowers sprouting up and soon to overtake the fields. The sky was a beautiful light blue with only a few slivers of clouds in the sky. Everything was bright, exactly what the little one wished for.
Giggling, the little Gacha flapped his wings and bounded into the brush. The flowers smelt amazing and paired nicely with the scent of rain still lingering in the air. Wibbles opted to watch his son enjoy the spring splendor, taking in the sunshine. Once the little one had his fill of rolling in the grass and chasing some of the bees pollinating the flowers, Wibbles suggested some more games…this time out in the open spring air! The two enjoyed the start of spring with water fights from the hose, Wibbles trying to teach the little one to fly, and many more fun activities. Gizmo hoped they’d be able to enjoy all of spring like this!
