The Magical Girl Gachagon

Sweetheart is one of the sweetest and brightest gachagons you will ever meet. This young girl has always had dreams of being a magical girl, a concept she saw when she visited the human world with her sister, and thought it was the coolest thing! She had dreams of being a helper to all and being super cute while doing it! She would always journal and dream of this idea of becoming a magical superhero, and one day she was put into contact with an immensely magically powerful gachagon named Gheilis (a friend of her older sister Lovespell’s friend Ophelia). Gheilis agreed to take Sweetheart under her wing and teach her how to harness her magical abilities, in the way that Sweetheart wanted. Gheilis gave her the magic broach that helps Sweetheart harness her powers in a special way. One day she hopes to be one of the most helpful and magical gachas around!

Sweetheart lives with Lovespell in the loft above the Arts and Crafts store; she occasionally works there when not doing learning lessons at the local school or being trained by Gheilis. She loves journaling and always begs her older sister for the first pick of new supplies when they get into the store. She is often seen goofing around with her bestests friends, Menthe, and their pseudo-adopted little brother Muppet (a strange little bitling). The three of them are like three peas in a pod, always getting up into trouble but in the young kid kinda way. They always go on adventures, looking for others to offer help to so that Sweetheart can offer her magical girl help to them!

There is one gacha that Sweetheart has a rough relationship with, not really from Sweetheart’s perspective but from the other gachas. Gymnopedie is a slightly older gachagon who has had the opposite experience of Sweetheart. The dark purple gacha knows of Sweetheart’s crusade of justice and magic and gets immensely annoyed by the bright and bubbly younger gacha. Sweetheart simply wants to be friends with her, but there is an unspoken magical rivalry between them. Gymnopedie is the shadow to Sweetheart’s light.

Fun Facts

• Her birthday is March 21st! The first day of spring, she is a bright spring babey!
• Her favorite snack is popcorn! Its her favorite treat to eat when working on her journals.
• Loves making pillow forts with her sister and friends, they always try to make a day of it every other week, as it is a good way of catching up and taking a break from the hectic outside world
• The idea of her was just inspired from my love of the magical girl main character, one day I hope to make her an “ascended” form to show her true magical girl power!

• The opening theme from Madoka Magica, one of my favorite magical girl series. The meaning of this song hits hard when thinking about the themes of the show and the importance of the connections that the characters have made with one another. Sweetheart is always looking for ways to be helpful to those around her, the values she holds on wanting to be a hero and to offer others around her a brighter and happier life is what she is super focused on. Yes she is young, but she reasons the younger she starts on her dream, the sooner she will achieve it and have the opportunity to become even greater in her mission. She worries about the darkness she sees in Gymnopedie, a gacha that she genuinely looks up to. That's one person she wants to connect with the most, she sees a light in her that many don't, and feels that they could be good friends if she could only fight hard enough. Sweetheart is pure and has an unshakable ideal when it comes to the friendships she holds with others, she hopes and prays that the work she does gets through to others, especially to those who need it most. I just really think this song suits her as a whole!!
